MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN THE NEW YEAR

In most houses of worship you will find that people are talking about change, however very little seems to change. Look at or slogans they are filled with verbiages of change and newness, but very few know how to go about  this change. So what I wanted to do is to write briefly about the agents of change to help you in this year to fruitfulness and production.
The first thing we need to look at as it relates to change is what leads to lasting and permanent change? What are the things I can look to that will provide change and simple reasons why it hasn’t or has been difficult to come by. I believe that ,don’t get me wrong, preaching alone won’t do it especially the kind of preaching that attacks culture i. e. everybody is doing this, everybody is doing that it simply attacks and produces very little change.

The four areas of change are:
1. Changing the mind
2. Then a attitude
3. Next a lifestyle
4. Finally culture

First, you have to go after the mindset that is where change starts according to Rom 12:2 “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind” The greatest enemy to your destiny is not the Devil but your mindset. Satan works in the mind of darkness or one without knowledge. What you don’t know our have not exposed to the word of God Satan will work in, listen what the writer says in Psa 119:130 “The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.” God’s word giveth light which means it dispels Satan’s activity in your life tying to work in darkness for with God’s word you receive understanding and the enemy can’t do anything with the revelation of the word!
When we fail to allow God’s word to penetrate our hearts and minds we end up in bondage. And bondage is always easier then freedom. we don’t have to make decisions when in bondage no responsibility while in addictions, and negative mindsets. Don’t have to balance check book if you always say you will never have anything. Your mind will keep you in bondage but you can have a renewing of your mind by the word of God for by its entrance it brings understanding (light). So if you find yourself struggling with something make sure you know what God says about it and then you can approach it with the right mindset producing freedom, victory and change!  and to our next point the right attitude.
Stay tuned  for our next point in the coming weeks.
